Melissa Young, LCPC, CBT-I
Insomnia Specialist
If your sleep hasn’t been great lately, whether that’s difficulty drifting off, waking frequently, or feeling exhausted no matter how long you stay in bed, you don’t have to keep pushing through alone. Many sleep problems may be linked to stress, burnout, anxiety, shifting life demands, or patterns of overthinking at night… but I’m here to tell you there’s hope!
Hi, I’m Melissa. I’m a Northwestern University-trained therapist on a mission to help people dramatically improve their quality of life by restoring the one foundation everything else rests upon: consistent, restful sleep.
Together we’ll engage in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), an evidence-based therapeutic approach that helps retrain your mind and body for more regular and restorative sleep. Alongside CBT-I, I will also draw from psychodynamic theory, and together we'll go deep to help you better understand the emotional and behavioral patterns keeping you stuck in all relevant areas of your life, including your sleep.
My approach is warm, real, practical, and collaborative. We will focus on restoring reliable sleep while also helping you feel more grounded, at peace, and better equipped to move through your days successfully.
