Sleep Better Every Night
Welcome to Illinois Sleep Medicine, a sleep clinic specializing in adult chronic insomnia. We can help you fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer and have more consistently restful nights.
Trouble Sleeping? We're Here to Help
Chronic insomnia can feel like you’ve lost control of your sleep. We specialize in diagnosing and treating patients who struggle with sleep. We’ve helped people with extreme insomnia learn how to sleep well again and we can help you too.
All our insomnia programs are based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), which is what the American Medical Association recommends as the first line treatment for insomnia. It is the industry standard for insomnia, with an 80% success rate.
CBT-I is a well-known psychology-based methodology that helps you address the thoughts, habits and behaviors that are disrupting your sleep. Unlike sleep medication which is a short-term fix at best, CBT-I addresses the root cause of your insomnia and gives you the tools to sleep better long term.

Customer Reviews
"After struggling with insomnia for 10 years, I’m finally sleeping through the night. My therapist listened carefully and tailored a plan based on my schedule.. Within a few weeks I started waking up less. After a month I slept through the night for the first time in years. I feel like myself again."
"My therapist gave me CBT-I tools that actually work. After so much trial and error on my own, it was just a big relief just to be given a plan. I learned what was keeping me up and how to change my habits step by step. The sessions were practical and easy to follow between visits. I’m getting consistent sleep now and have way more energy during the day."
"I’m finally feeling rested in the mornings again. At my worst insomnia it didn’t feel like I would ever sleep again. My therapist was wonderful. She was supportive, clear, and encouraging. She helped me rebuild my sleep and taught me how to manage my stress daily. My sleep is finally predictable again."

How long does it take to see results?
A large number of our patients begin to see meaningful improvements in their sleep within 2 weeks, even for those who have suffered from insomnia for years.
However, the exact length of time it takes for you to resolve your insomnia will depend on the root causes of your insomnia and how you respond to different types of treatment.
I've had insomnia for years - will this still help me?
Yes, we frequently have patients coming in who have struggled with 5+ or 10+ years and who have tried more basic tactics such as sleep hygiene, cutting coffee, reducing screen time at night, or meditating.
Our sleep clinicians are experts in identifying the underlying causes of long-lasting insomnia, and addressing your insomnia at the root cause.
How much will it cost?
If you are paying with insurance or Medicare and have met your deductible, your typical copay will be about ~$25 per 50-minute session with one of our sleep clinicians.
If you have not met your deductible or are unsure, you may call your insurance company to get a cost estimate or email us a picture of the front and back of your insurance card ([email protected]) and we can check for you.
What happens during my treatment sessions?
During your first ~50 minute meeting, your clinician will conduct a comprehensive diagnostic to understand the history of your insomnia and pinpoint potential root causes.
Your clinician will then create a tailored treatment plan for you based on your sleep challenges and goals and walk you through the plan so you understand the type of care you will receive. Your treatment plan is designed to be dynamic, evolving as your clinician monitors your progress and responses to various interventions.
